S H E - A R C H

1. A BOOK - I really love watching men reading, especially books. A novel would be perfect, but if your man prefers something different, that can work, too!
F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby

2. SOCKS - A nice pair (or two) of Christmas themed socks for those cozy nights-in OR nights-out, as I personally adore men who wear cute socks.

3. WALLET - Not many men have a well-made wallet, so that's a great gift idea. A nice alternative to a classic wallet is a money clip.

5. PERFUME - A man that smells nice is always more wanted.

6. SCARF - Keeping up with the cozy theme, a nice wool scarf works both for layering and making him feel warm.

7. BELT - A nice accessory to add to any man's closet.

8. ALCOHOL - You cannot go wrong with a nice bottle of whiskey for a man who knows about drinks.

9. POUCH - A small to medium sized pouch can help a man organize his smaller items while at home or store his toiletries when he's traveling.

The past week, me and my best friends Mirsini, Kate and Anastasia visited for five days the island of Skiathos, Greece for this summer’s vacation. We traveled with Hellenic Seaways and because of the weather the trip to Skiathos wasn’t the best – but still, we had a smooth coming back home trip.

On day one (or by the time we got there), we visited the Koukounaries Beach, but due to the bad weather, we ended up just walking around, exploring the town of Skiathos (Chora) – something we did on day two, along with a gallery that I visited by myself. On day three and, we visited the Agia Eleni Beach and on day four, the Megali Ammos Beach and the Vromolimnos Beach – my personal favorite. On day five we didn’t have enough time for nothing but a quick tour at the House of Papadiamandes and we also had coffee at the famous “Maxilares”.

Some things we would love to do, is tour around the island on a boat and visit the Lalaria Beach, but -again- the weather wasn’t great enough.

As promised, a part two is here.

While the trip to Crete was coming to an end, I forced my father to visit at least one archeological site in the area. Of course, Knossos made the cut not only because it is one of the most important places in Crete, but also because it was the nearest to us and – according to my father – he could not drive me anywhere else.

Αt around nine o’ clock, he took me to the Archeological Site of Knossos – 6 km away from the center of Heraklion. It was quite early (for me at least), but a lot of people from different parts of the world, were there, touring around.

As I was walking around, exploring the area, reading the notes and admiring everything Ancient Cretan had create, I got quite obsessed over the buildings, the colors,  the drawings on the walls, the nature… I truly believe that Knossos is the one and most important place to visit if you ever find yourself in Crete.

Recently, I was lucky enough to travel to the beautiful island of Crete. A few weeks ago, me and my father took a plane from the Makedonia - SKG airport, in Thessaloniki, GR and landed at the Nikos Kazantzakis - HER airport, in Heraklion, GR (with a quick stop at the Eleftherios Venizelos - ATH Airport in Athens). We flew with Aegean Airlines – something that made the trip quite special to me, too.

On day one, we visited a friend of my dad, in a village next to Heraklion, called Gouves. For the second and third day we stayed in another friend’s house at Sternes – your typical Cretan village. On day four, we visited our family at Agios Nikolaos – probably my favorite place of them all and for our fifth and last day, we went back to Heraklion, so I can visit the archaeological site of Knossos.

As people mentioned “ You saw nothing. Crete is more ” – thank God, I’ll be back soon!

swimsuit - top & bottom / dress / espadrilles / beach bag / coin wallet / top / shorts

Easter is in a couple of days and -for me at least- that's the time it starts to feel like summer. Plus, I am living in Greece, so it has to feel like summer.
I am craving for some blues and whites, a pair of espadrilles and a new beach bag. I also have felt in love with this kimono from Zara and the black slides from Oysho. It feels like I really need to start my plans for this season's must haves just like I have done for my early trip to Crete!
